It does, both in a "Yes! I'm on step closer to being free!" kind of way and in a "Yes! That's $80/month I don't have to worry about anymore" kind of way :D

Yay! But I still think you should have paid off your car first. You can deduct student loan interest from your taxes.

The interest was less than $100/year, so I never bothered claiming it on my taxes. However, the minimum payment was $70/month, and getting rid of that was a priority. Besides, I wouldn't have been able to pay off my car this season. I was too far in debt to start with. Next year is a different story.

Yeah, I definitely plan to pay off my car in the next year and my credit cards too - I'll worry about my student loans later - they're in deferment because of my classes at Alamance.
